Birkdale offers a wide range of plants to importers, either grown at its own production nurseries or out-sourced when required. Over the last 12 years, Birkdale has established a professional and reliable network of growers throughout Australia and internationally. This enables Birkdale to supply of an extensive range of both native and exotic plants from a wide diversity of climatic conditions.
Birkdale’s expertise is in the area of providing high quality plants, from mature trees and palms to ‘starter’ plants, combined with providing technical expertise to production and retail nurseries and residential, commercial landscaping and revegetation projects.
Arange of new and exclusive plants under licensing arrangements which provide protection in the market place can be exported, provided the importing country recognises the UPOV convention (Plant Breeders’ Rights).
‘Starter' plants which offer economies in freighting can be supplied to clients who wish to grow on Birkdale’s plants in their own production nurseries. This also provides an opportunity for northern hemisphere clients to take advantage of the opposite growing seasons with delivery at the beginning of their spring. These `starter' plants can be supplied in small containers (usually 50mm tubes) in a sterile media and, in some cases, tissue culture.
Birkdale offers the option of growing plants on a contract basis to meet future project requirements.
-

-
Semi Advanced to Mature Plants: these can be dispatched either bare rooted or in a soil-less media to meet the quarantine requirements of the importing country.
-
Mature Trees and Palms: these are root washed and placed in a soil-less media to meet the quarantine requirements of the importing country.
