Birkdale’s Directors have had extensive experience in both the Australian and international markets and have developed a high profile through representation on State and Federal Government horticultural boards and committees. This experience has provided them with a clear insight into Australian and International horticulture.
Since 1953 Birkdale has produced high quality plants for nursery retailers and garden centres.
Over the last 12 years, Birkdale expanded to service the landscape sector, producing and sourcing trees, shrubs and groundcovers for both commercial and government landscape projects. During this period, Birkdale has developed strong linkages with landscape architects, to ensure that it is attuned to current and future trends in plants.

Birkdale has 12 years international experience in supplying plants ranging from ‘starter’ plants to mature trees and palms.
To supplement its own production, it has also forged linkages with other production nurseries within Australia and internationally which underpin its ability to supply from a broad climatic base. These linkages also provide the opportunity to take advantage of seasonal production. Birkdale supplies and services the following sectors:
