Birkdale is responsible for  overseeing the maintenance  of the landscape and providing seasonal plants.

City of Dreams Casino Resort
MACAU: 2008-2009

This project included landscaping for their Casino/ Hotel complex, the Hard Rock Hotel, a Crown Hotel and two Hyatt Hotels on the Cotai Strip. Birkdale is currently undertaking the external soft landscaping on the Level 1 perimeter and a level 3 podium deck where the pools for the hotels are located.

Birkdale supplied 20,000 cubic metres of topsoil to fill the landscape planters. This soil was mixed offsite in China and then transported to site for installation.

A total of 766 advanced trees, 279 advanced palms, 211,868 shrubs, and 4,900 square metres of turf have been supplied. Half the trees, palms and shrubs are on the level 3 podium with the remainder planted around the perimeter and highlighting the entrances.

Zhuhai Birkdale Nursery sourced all the plant material, with the trees and palms for the project being imported from Egypt, Australia, Malaysia and Thailand. All shrubs were procured locally in China.
